Christmas Countdown-Day 12

For today's project, I chose to make a quick placecard for the Christmas dinner table.  The Expressions Thinlits from the Holiday catalog fit the bill on this one.  It is cut from the Silver Foil sheets.  I used a strip of Whisper White card stock punched out using the Dotted Scalloped Ribbon Border Punch along the bottom of the Cherry Cobbler card stock.

The "Christmas" stamp is from Petite Pairs stamp set and I inked only the Christmas portion in VersaMark ink and then heat embossed it using Gumball Green embossing powder.  The finishing touch was the Champagne Glimmer Paper punched out using the star from the Merry Minis punch pack (they will only be available for a short time more!).

Thanks again for stopping by.  It's been fun sharing Christmas projects with you.

I won't be posting tomorrow as I'll be spending time celebrating the true meaning of the season and sharing time with family.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Countdown-Day 11

For today's Christmas project, I chose to make another gift card holder.  I'm always looking for new ways to gift one, and this is an old idea using an envelope.

This is the cover, decorated using the Perfect Blend stamp set and the greeting from the November My Paper Pumpkin kit.  The striped paper uses leftovers from the kit as well, and I just love, love that garland!

Here is the inside.  As you can see, I folded the envelope in half trimming off half of the flap and sealing the other half.  This allows the gift card to be placed in the open side.

Christmas Countdown-Day 10

Yesterday ended up being a very busy day.  With that I did not get anything posted for the day, so I'll be doubling up today.  Here is the first post, for day 10.

I got the idea from my good friend Kathy Howes.  She had made a similar luminary using the Regarding Dalias stamp set, and I thought this single stamp, Wonderful Blessing would work great for a Christmas luminary.  The image was stamped onto a piece of Vellum card stock in Midnight Muse ink and embossed using clear EP.

I simply cut 2 pieces of card stock measuring 4-1/4" x 9", scored it at 1/2" & 4-3/4".  The Circles Collection framelits were used to cut out the circles (one on each piece), and the 2 pieces were glued together using Tombow Multi-purpose adhesive along the 1/2" folds.

Christmas Countdown-Day 9

The days are flying by!  I can hardly believe that Christmas is next Wednesday.  So much to do, and yet what needs to be done will get done.  It always does.

Here is my project for today.

I covered a kraft box (similar to our kraft gift boxes) with Season of Style designer series paper using Tombow Multi-purpose adhesive.  Then I wrapped a bow around it using the Cherry Cobbler 1" Stitched Edge Grosgrain Ribbon.  It's finished off by adding a tag from the That's the Ticket stamp set (stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink and punched out with the coordinating punch), tied on with a piece of Cherry Cobbler Baker's twine.

Simple, fast and a great way to use any extra designer series paper you might have.

Christmas Countdown-Day 8

Today's project is a cute Christmas card using the Snow Day stamp set and the greeting set from the November My Paper Pumpkin kit.  The word bubble is from a new framelit that is a sneak peek from the Occasions Catalog that starts in January.

I used more of the star garland that I made.  Can you tell I'm a little addicted to this garland?  Can't seem to get enough of it!

Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Countdown-Day 7

Today's project is another one I made at my adopted upline's December meeting.  It was so quick and easy to make.

The frame is a 6-inch square frame and the snowflakes are cut using the Sizzix Big-Shot and the Festive Flurry Framelits Dies.  There are 2 cut from each of the 3 smaller sizes of snowflakes; one from Silver Glimmer paper and one from the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper stack.

All the layers are attached using Mini Glue Dots and the completed snowflake is attached to the glass of the frame using Stampin' Dimensionals.  The final touch is a Frosted Finishes Embellishment.

Christmas Countdown-Day 6

Today's project is a cute little gift bag.  I got the idea from Libby Fern, and made a few modifications.

The little elf feet and bottom of his clothes are made using the Sizzix Big-Shot and the Top Note Die. One die cut, cut in half, and then one cut in half again.

You'll use the 1-3/8" & 3/4" Circle punches to create the shoe.  The remaining half of the Top Note Die is textured using the Sizzix Big-Shot and a Textured Impressions Folder.  Here I used a sneak-peak item from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration catalog.

You should notice that I added some star garland to the top of the bag.  It was super easy to make, just taking some time to punch out all the stars.  I also added the gold glittery "Merry" from the Expressions Thinlits Dies out of the Holiday catalog.

The hardest part of this bag will be giving it away!

Christmas Countdown-Day 5

Today's Christmas project is a super simple one!  It uses the Real Red Goodie Gear Simply Created kit; a real bargain at only $4.95 to make 10 goodie bags with tags.  All you add is the filling.  Here I used peanut Christmas M&M's.  You can use any horizontal greeting stamp, but the Oh, Goodie stamp set is made to work perfectly with this kit.

I hope you'll stop back by tomorrow for another project!

Christmas Countdown-Day 4

Today's Christmas countdown project was made using more of the November Paper Pumpkin kit.  I used it to make an ornament.

In addition to the Paper Pumpkin kit, I also used the Sizzix Big-Shot and the Circles collection framelits, a scrap of Silver Glimmer paper, the star from the Merry Minis punch pack, linen thread and some Tombow Multi-purpose glue.

Here is the back of the ornament.  I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig and the greeting stamp from the Paper Pumpkin kit.

Thanks for looking!

Christmas Countdown-Day 3

I was so excited when I opened up last month's Paper Pumpkin kit!  Well, and then life got a litte crazy!  So needless to say I didn't take the time to do anything with the kit until this week.  Here is the card made according to the directions in the kit.  I really like it, and think it's one of the best kits yet.

I especially like the stamp and the star garland that came in the kit.  So, for todays Christmas countdown project, I'm using those 2 items from the kit.

I made an adorable gift card holder like one I received for my birthday from one of my great downline, Michele Force.  She has some great designs that you can see here.  I also used the Season of Style DSP paper stack and a couple stamps from the photopolymer Christmas Tagables stamp set.  These little gift card holders fit into the note card envelopes, or you can make your own using the new Envelope Punch Board.

Here you can see the inside and the decorated envelope.  Too fun!  Now to see if I can make my own star garland.

See you tomorrow!

Christmas Countdown-Day 2

Today, I'm sharing with you a quick little treat holder/Christmas ornament.  They are made from a paper sack using the Sizzix Big-Shot and the Top Note die and hold a snack-size candy inside.  I think they would be a neat way to give a gift card as well, maybe hanging on the Christmas tree.

Here, I used a white lunch sack and decorated it with the Snow Day stamp set.  A little bit of Tombow Multi-Purpose glue holds the bag sides together along 3 sides.  And the holder is piece of the 1/8" Silver Taffeta ribbon from the Holiday catalog.

This little treat bag is where I found my inspiration.  We made these at my adopted upline's Christmas meeting.  It's from a lunch sack and hung with a piece of yarn.  It is decorated with the Wishing You stamp set from the Holiday catalog.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check back tomorrow.

Christmas Countdown

I don't know about you, but the month of December seems to be scooting right along!

Here is a cute little gift bag made from the Tag a Bag Gift Bags found on page 158 of the catalog.  At Stampin' Up!'s annual convention, we learned how to make these flat little bags into a "stand-up" bag by scoring and snipping the bottom and sides.

I added a tag using punches and the Photopolymer stamp set Christmas Tagables.  It's a quick way to package up little gifts.

I hope you'll stop back by often to see more last minute Christmas projects.

Where does the time go?  It's the age old question isn't it.  The time just flew since I held the second half of the desktop calendar class back in November.  Here are the remaining 6 calendar pages.

Awesome...thanks note-card

This quick and simple card was made using one of the stamp sets that are on the 25% off list!  It the Yippee-Skippee! stamp set.  You can see all the stamp sets that are 25% off here.

The note cards & envelopes are a great way to make quick thank-you notes and come 20 pre-scored cards (5"x3-1/2") with 20 envelopes for only $5.95.  Add some wash tape, here I used the Gingham Garden designer washi tape, and a stamped greeting.  To bring in a little more color, I punched a piece of Island Indigo card stock using the Decorative Label punch.

A package of these would make a great gift too!

October Stamp Club Projects

Here are the projects we made this month at stamp club:

This first project is an ornament for the Christmas tree.  It's made using the Festive Flurry bundle, the 1/8" silver ribbon, and the Frosted Finishes Embellishments.

I love the simplicity of this card and how it looks anything but simple!  It's made using the Labels Card Thinlits die with the Sizzix Big-Shot, Delicate Designs textured impressions folder, Winter Frost Designer Series Paper stack & silver 1/8" ribbon.  The card base is Pool Party Core'dinations card stock.  The stamp set for the greeting is Christmas Messages.

The last project was a gift card holding card.  This idea was CASE'd from Jackie Topa.  Check out her awesome video tutorial on how she made the card.  What a great use for the Envelope Punch Board for more than simply making envelopes.

I loved using the Christmas MessagesSnow Day & Greetings of the Season stamp sets to decorate this card, and the Season of Style Wasi Tape works great too!

Thanks for stopping by!  Comments are always appreciated.
