More Stamp Club Projects

Here are projects we made at my Littleton stamp club this month.

This first card is a 3"x3" card, perfect for a gift enclosure. The idea came directly from Stampin' Up! They give their demonstrators such wonderful ideas.

The card base is More Mustard textured card stock. The accent colors are Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. The circle stamp is from the stamp set Circle Circus.

The image is stamped 4 times, one in each of the 4 colors mentioned above onto Whisper White card stock. The More Mustard image is punched out using the 1-3/4" circle punch. Then the Old Olive, Melon Mambo and Chocolate Chip images are cut along different flowers and glued down onto the More Mustard image. This is all glued onto a 2" (the large size) Metal Edge tag. (This photo shows the image glued down onto a 2" circle of Brushed Silver card stock, and option if you don't have metal-edge tags. The Old Olive card stock strip was punched using the Scallop Edge punch and then adhered to the right-edge of the note card. The Chocolate Chip flower is punched from the Trio Flower punch and a More Mustard brad is attached in the center. The "thinking of you" image is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

The second card is on a Old Olive card base. The colors are Old Olive, Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip and Crushed Curry. The circles (again from Circle Circus) are stamped in a somewhat random pattern and the 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon is tied onto the front. The greeting image is from the stamp set On Your Birthday.

This last card also uses the Circle Circus and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets. The card base is Rich Razzleberry card stock and the accent colors are Old Olive and Crushed Curry. The circles are punched from the 3/4" circle punch and the layer from the 1" circle punch. These are then attached to the Crushed Curry card stock with Stampin' Dimensionals. The card base was textured using the Sizzix Big Shot and the Stampin' Up! Perfect Details Texturz Plate.

Stamp Club Projects

I had a great time showing the following projects at my Thornton stamp club on Monday evening.

This is a really simple birthday card that has a bit of a masculine look to it. I really like this color combination. I used it on a card that I posted earlier this month also. The stamps set used for all three projects if Circle Circus. The colors are Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry and Old Olive. The ribbon is the 1/2" Soft Suede Polka-Dot ribbon, but I turned it over because I thought it was a bit too busy with the polka-dots.

This next card idea is one that I copied directly from Stampin' Up! They give such wonderful project ideas for demonstrators. The card base is Melon Mambo, and the other colors are Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Whisper White. The punched-out section on the lower right-hand side of the stamped image is done with the 1" Circle punch after it has been layered onto the Chocolate Chip card stock and then attached over the 5/8" Old Olive grosgrain ribbon using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The final project was this easy corner bookmark. It's made from a square piece of card stock. I used a 4" square of Rich Razzleberry card stock. To make it, fold in half once horizontally and once vertically to divide it into fourths. Cut away one-fourth (one corner) of the paper. Fold the two remaining "arms" down and adhere them together creating a pocket that will fit over the corner of a page in a book. Decorate your corner bookmark using stamped accents or any accessories you want. Here the scallop circle image was stamped onto Confetti White card stock in Rich Razzleberry ink and punched out using the Scallop Circle punch. The same image was stamped again using Crushed Curry ink onto Confetti White card stock and punched out using the 1-3/8" Circle punch. The two punched pieces were layered onto each other. One flower was punched-out using the Flower Trio punch and Rich Razzleberry card stock. Using the paper piercing tool and an Old Olive brad attach the flower to the stamped piece. Attach this to the front of the bookmark.

More Circle Circus

I've been playing around some more with the Circle Circus stamps set. I had a bunch of these images stamped and punched out, and wasn't quite sure what to do with them. Well, this is what I came up with.

The card base is Rich Razzleberry, and the stamped images are stamped onto Whisper White card stock in both Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede Classic ink then punched out using the 1-3/4" circle punch. The smaller circles are Crushed Curry, punched out using the 1" circle punch, and Old Olive card stock, punched out using the 1-1/4" circle punch.

The final touch was adding a Filigree Designer brad.

Simple Thank-You

Here is a very simple thank you card that I came up with. I always struggle when a card seems "too" simple, and that is what I'd call this one. The embossed flowers are created using the Big Shot and Stampin' Up! Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The beauty of these are that they do all the work for you! The card base is Mellow Moss and the accent colors are Perfect Plum and Very Vanilla. The thank-you image is from the stamp set Oval All and it's stamped using Always Artichoke Classic ink and accents added with the Pale Plum and Perfect Plum Stampin' Write Markers. The scallops at the top of the card were made with the Scallop Edge punch.

Circle Circus Thinking of You

It seems like forever since I've had a chance to play with my stamps. But, I finally got the chance and decided to try a collage kind-of look. I'm not real sure just what I think of it, but the color combination is growing on me.

The base card is Soft Suede card stock. The stamping is done on Whisper White card stock using Dusty Durango, Soft Suede, Old Olive, and Crushed Curry Classic ink, and then layered onto Crushed Curry card stock. The ribbon is the new Soft Suede 1/2" Polka-Dot grosgrain ribbon that was turned over so the plain side showed. (The polka-dot side was just too busy with the collage of shapes.)

To finish it off, I added a stamped saying "Thinking of You" from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set that was punched out using the Modern Label punch and added 2 Vintage brads on each side.
